Sound stored analog on a magnetic tape. Fascinating.
For many decades, this fantastic possibility has existed. With the advent of digital technology, unfortunately, more and more pushed into the background: The major manufacturers are now all no longer alive or it was abandoned magnetic tape technology many years ago.
Nevertheless, there is a small flock of enthusiasts who continue to devote themselves to this great technique. Fortunately there is still new tape material and there is us: We produce tape reels in great design. In small series “Made in Germany
History
Tape recorders were also used by the armed forces: Here, however, these were not called tape recorders, but “TONSCHREIBER®”. Our coil design was partly inspired by these devices. Stainless steel and aluminum are the main materials used in our coils. The core is made in plastic.
